Five Errors of the NAR

It’s perhaps the fastest growing movement in the church today, but it deviates greatly from what the Bible teaches about our mission, our future and the endtimes. The movement often referred to as the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) relies more on experience and extra-biblical revelations than it does on the words of Scripture. The article below lays out five major errors of the NAR.

The Seven Pillars of Error

We know of the “Seven Pillars of Wisdom” in Proverbs 9:1 but now it seems the Church is intent on leading its followers, as well as the rest of the world, into an entirely different way of thinking. Here I will try to quickly summarise the main problems, being aware that there is so much more excellent material online for you to access in addition to this.

The Dominion Agenda

There are many excellent blogs and youtubes and articles these days exposing error, and they all have their place. They usually examine in depth one of the many false teachers, pastors, “apostles” or prophets that proliferate all over the TV and Internet, not to speak of megachurches (especially in America.)

The Waters of Meribah Today

When a thought pops into my head, I wonder why, and then I do some research around it. A few days ago I suddenly thought “The waters of Meribah” so of course that set me off. I read the bible text, [Numbers 20:2-13] then a few online commentaries.

But what is the significance of this passage for us today?

Do Not Love the World

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world — the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life — is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever“. (1 John 2:15-17 ESV)

These are the words of Jesus, who could have come to this world powerfully and with the armies of Heaven to force obedience to God, and to overturn all that is contrary to him. Yet he did not.

Even offered the nations of the world on a silver platter by the devil, Jesus did not hesitate to commit to God’s plan, because ruling the world at the price of bowing to satan’s kingship was not on his agenda, despite the cost he would have to pay in terms of human suffering.

They Will Seek To Kill You!

Persecution

We have always known that persecution would arise before the return of our Lord, but now it seems closer than ever. And the greatest threat appears to be coming (as Jesus warned, and as the book of Revelation does seem to indicate) from other Christians.

Matthew 10: 21-25
“Brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death. And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved. …

“A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master. It is enough for a disciple that he be like his teacher, and a servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more will they call those of his household!”.

Righteousness & Truth Are Not Optional

Many of you will have read the title and thought, well obviously. However, these days it’s unfortunately not obvious, even for bible-literate Christians, that doing the right thing, and acting truthfully and honourably, is part and parcel of being a Christian.

Old Heresies Repurposed for Today’s Delusion

Constance Cumbey Interview

This post contains an audio of an interview with guest speaker Constance Cumbey, noted researcher into the New Age and heresies in the Church.  Here she updates her former research by telling us that she sees the same teachings in the QAnon and related movements today.

Go direct to the interview and read the post later

This is no surprise to bible students, since the age-old plan to trick humanity into handing over the government of the planet to a wise and powerful messiah-figure never really varies. Only the terminology changes. Continue reading

The Return 2020: of What and to What?

I dealt with this upcoming event, The Return 2020, in an earlier post, but the time is nearly upon us. There is now more information and more reason to be concerned, as you can see in the video on this page.

The event is turning out to be an ecumenical, nationalist and libertarian agenda to “take back your country” and ultimately the world – as the website for leader Dr. Chaps states. [See the video below for more information].

More worryingly, it is one more step in the New Age agenda to “return to the light” and prepare the way for a saviour figure to come and solve the world’s problems. Below is just one comment on a site that uses Christian terminology but has New Age roots. Continue reading

The Goal of Lawlessness: Spiritual Revival

Awaken2020

Because the coming other-christ is called the Man of Lawlessness by Paul in Thessalonians, we tend to think of sins as being the hallmark of his followers and his work. It may shock you to find out what that sin consists of.

When the revivalist miracle-workers of the last days cite their works as a qualification of entrance into heaven, the Lord rejects them with these words:

Matt 7: 21-24 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

A Coming (Luciferic) Global Revival?

Great Awakening 2020

For a few days I have had a message burning in my heart, and today I was about to make a start on sharing that. That is when (coincidentally, if you believe in coincidences) I saw today’s video posted by the E5-11 ministry.

I had no intention of posting another video from the E5-11 ministry, but this one is a direct confirmation to me of the subject I was also covering. Its title is “Great Revival or Great Deception?”

I have posted that video below to share it with you, but what I have to say is perhaps even more urgent and important because it relates to a great evil that is about to be unleashed. Continue reading

Bethel Magic Ritual to Defeat Racism

As many of you will already know, Bethel “church” has become little more than a vehicle for occultic rituals and overblown declarations of supposed apostleship.

It is probably one of the worst examples today of what’s gone wrong in the churches. Continue reading

Glossary of NAR Terminology

NARpic

Reposted from Famine In The Land Blog

The New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) is one of the fastest growing and insidious movements in the visible church. One of the ways to identify leaders and their followers (NARites) in this movement, is by paying attention to the terminology or buzzwords they use.

Some of the words in this list are biblical, but the meaning and application are far removed from what scripture actually teaches (biblical terminology to gives credence to their aberrant doctrines) Certain words used in the NAR appear to be sci-fi or computer buzzwords, and their applications originate in the minds of the false apostles and prophets that drive this movement. The words listed are not exclusive to the NAR, but occur in some Charismatic, Word of Faith and other movements. Continue reading
